What the camera shows
A waterproof camera on a flexible rod is pushed through the drain while we watch the picture live. It shows:
- Tree roots that have found their way into joints
- Cracked, broken or collapsed sections
- Sags where water sits and waste builds up
- Joints that have pulled apart as the ground moved
- Pipes that were never connected, or were connected to the wrong line
Locating the problem
The camera head carries a transmitter. A locator on the surface picks up its signal, so we can mark exactly where a fault is and how deep it sits. If a section needs replacing, the dig is in the right place and no bigger than it needs to be.
When to book one
- A drain that blocks again after being cleared
- Before you buy an older house, especially with large trees near the sewer line
- Water pooling in the yard or a soggy patch that never dries
- Before agreeing to a quote for a big drain repair, so you know it’s needed
- After building work or landscaping near the drains
You get the findings explained in plain words, and the footage of anything that needs attention.
